This morning three of my roommates and I woke up around 7 am to be able to be some of the first people at the market to buy our groceries. We heard that it's ideal to go as early as possible to get the best selection, so we ventured out in the rain and walked the few blocks it takes to get there.
The market to me is like a huge indoor farmer's market that you would find at home. They have different booths with vendors. They have every vegetable, fruit, meat, and treat you can think of, and everything was SO inexpensive. I bought, one kl of chicken breast, 6 eggs, a huge container of olive oil, 1/2 kl of potatoes, 2 lemons, 2 peppers, and green beans and everything was around 10-15 euro. Really cheap!! Now I'll have some things to make dinner with so I won't eat out so often. Doing so really adds up, and I'd rather send money on other things :)
Classes start today and that makes me a little nervous but I'm excited to start having a set schedule and classwork. My communication and cooking classes will be fun! Italian is the only one I'm worried about...
Ciao, Erica xox
